How to hide a bulkhead with a deck next to the house?

I want to put a deck in my back yard; however, there is a bulkhead needs to be hidden by the deck or incorporated into the deck. Does anyone have an idea or have done this before?

    You might brick it over, maybe even put in a brick BBQ while you are at it.

    Hide it with a row of cannas, hydrangea, or forsynthia.

    If you build over it, build in a trap door, just in case you ever need to access it.
