brad asked:

I know how to make concrete steps for a patio but how do I attach the new steps ontop of the already existing concreate patio? Thanks.

The patio and put short lengths of rebar into them then build your concrete forms around them then build your concrete forms around them when you pour the new steps they will be anchored to the patio and put short lengths of rebar into.
